Matt Schultz earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Iowa before completing his law degree at Creighton University. He was admitted to the Iowa Bar in 2006.
Throughout his career, Matt Schultz has been a staunch advocate for law enforcement and community safety. Serving as Iowa Secretary of State, he championed Voter ID initiatives to ensure fairness and security in elections. Matt Schultz actively defended the rights of states to implement Voter ID laws and prevent non-citizens from participating in voting, a stance he reaffirmed during testimony before the US Senate Judiciary Committee.
