Sheriff Infante assumed office in 2022 following eight years as Chief Deputy. In this role, the Chief Deputy acts as Sheriff in the Sheriff's absence and oversees the day-to-day operations of the entire Sheriff's office.
Before becoming Chief Deputy, Sheriff Infante served in various capacities within the Sheriff's office, including as a patrol deputy and detective. He also undertook a special assignment with the Mid Iowa Narcotics Enforcement (MINE) Task Force.
Additionally, Sheriff Infante dedicated three years to the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Task Force, contributing significantly to high-profile cases across the United States.
Sheriff Infante holds the distinction of being a graduate of the FBI National Academy’s 271st session, an exclusive program that accepts fewer than one percent of all law enforcement officers.
